“I know we’re living in the era of bipartisanship” new Republican Party Chairman Michael S. Steele told a gathering of Republican House members Saturday. But he was just saying that to be entertaining. Oh blacks!
The new RNC chairman then regaled all his fat old honky buddies who totally didn’t choose him because they are terrible racists with stories of, uh, we don’t even know. Here’s what he said:
“My mom was a sharecropper’s daughter with a fifth-grade education, and my mother knew how to balance the budget without taking money out of my pocket.”
So, after telling his audience about his mom being borned a sharecroppers daughter who would never take money from her son who had an income(?) Chairman Steele, who has never won a national election, turned his comments to his main area of expertise; winning national elections. He said that the GOP would regain the majority in Congress and backed his claim up with this:
“As a black Roman Catholic conservative from Washington, D.C., and Maryland, I also know how to lose elections”
Good luck RNC! CNN political ticker
